Come on over and visit one of the nation's fastest growing aviation museums. On display you may see aircraft from the Dawn of Flight, World War II era, Korean Era, Vietnam Era, Desert Storm Era and today.
You will be able to lay down and fly the Original Wright Flyer or sit in the seat of a UH-1L (helicopter), sit in the seat of the pilot seat of a F-4C.
Visit the Hall of Honor where some of those that faithfully served the nation in the armed forces have plaques, such as Julius Jackson, Lt. Col. U.S. Army, 1943 - 1985 with the Tuskegee Airman or Harry M Riggs and Marian Drumheller Riggs and Barry L Riggs have a plaque for their service to the country. There are many plaques on display and you can learn how to have one placed in the museum for someone you want to honor.
If you want to see the entire aircraft display you can climb to the top of the five-story Cold War-era Observation Tower where you will have a stunning view of the historic aircraft. You will also be able to see the runway of neighboring Grissom Air Reserve base. This is an active and busy base in the U.S. Air Force system. Admission to the tower is $1. Plan for a minimum of 30 minutes to enjoy the Tower views.
Aviation Art Contest
Every September, the Grissom Air Museum hosts a Student Aviation Art Contest for grades kindergarten through 12. Students are invited to draw or paint any aircraft, or famous aviator, and submit it to the museum.

Tuesday - Sunday, 10 am - 4 pm (Non-Summer Hours)
Monday - Sunday, 10 am - 4 pm (Summer Hours)
Summer Hours are from Memorial Day to Labor Day
Closed on certain major holidays.
